‘If you buy rubbish just for your house, you're throwing money down the drain!
If you want to live without agony, only buy Haarer originals!’ Anni Haarer, ca. 1927
Bins cupboard from the 1950s
This cabinet from the 1950s shows how long Haarer was produced and appreciated. Although it does not come directly from a Frankfurt kitchen, these cabinets could be ordered individually, so they found their place in many households.
The cupboard contains 8 aluminium bins and 5 spice jars bearing the inscription ‘Haarer Hanau’ - a sign of quality and innovation.
The patented ‘Original Haarer’ aluminium chute, a unique combination of drawer and watering can, was used in ten thousand fitted kitchens in Ernst May's Frankfurt housing estates from as early as 1926.
This practical and well thought-out solution remains popular to this day: Haarer Bins are not only functional storage solutions, but also timeless design classics and are highly decorative in modern kitchens.
Their importance is emphasised by their inclusion in the collections of world-famous museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the MAK in Vienna and Frankfurt and museums in Hanau.
Good condition with visible signs of use.
