Simple and elegant

We were able to acquire this very well-maintained B40 sideboard from Dieter Waeckerlin for Behr. Made around 1965, it was the owner's sanctuary. The children had to keep at least one metre away from it, as the son told us.

The special thing about Dieter Waeckerlin's designs is the clean lines and beauty of the simple and clear form. There are no flourishes or curved lines. The material Siam Teak is the only decoration here.

For the interior, Behr used maple. The two drawers are at the same time removable trays and serving boards. The left part of the sideboard contains the bottle carrier.

Stamped on the back with Behr Möbel GmbH, order date 05.04.1962, sideboard teak steel black, 2 shelves

The B 40 sideboard in the teak version cost 1295 DM in 1964.
