Jürg Bally for Wohnhilfe

A rare collector's item is this multi-purpose "Movex" table by Jürg Bally, which was initially manufactured by Bally himself and later, from 1955, by the WK-Gesellschaft für Wohngestaltung. In 2014, the table was overhauled by Daniel Hunziker on behalf of Horgenglarus and brought up to the latest state of the art. It is offered there under the wonderful name ess.tee.tisch t-6500.

Our table probably originates from the production of the WK-Gesellschaft für Wohngestaltung. Particularly innovative at that time was the lifting mechanism, which is still fully functional today. The table top rests on three crossed legs, which can easily be transformed from a coffee table into a dining table.

The frame is made of solid teak and the table top has an oak veneer.
