The American furniture designer Charles Pollock designed the Executive Chair as an office chair for Knoll International in 1963.
Charles Pollock worked in the architectural office of George Nelson in the 1940s and 1950s.
Later, Pollock designed numerous pieces of furniture for manufacturers such as Knoll, Thonet or Castelli.
In 2013, he died in a fire in his New York studio.
