The three-legged children's chair against the Prussian rigidity of sitting, here as an old original!

Walter Papst is a pioneer of plastic design. Since the early 1960s, he has developed colourful plastic furniture (bear bench, rocking plastic, shell chair).

New materials such as glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) and new ergonomic findings shaped his designs.

One of Walter Papst's best-known objects is the "three-legged chair". His aim was above all to promote movement when children were sitting at school. Even then, Papst recognised the importance of ergonomics. Postural damage caused by "sitting still" was to be avoided. The chair, which is stable and robust due to its screwless internal construction, is distributed by the Wilkhahn company from Lower Saxony.

This chair has the very rare size for an adult person. The seat height is 45 cm.
