Eiermann began developing tubular steel chairs in 1951. His first chair with a tubular steel frame was intended for an orchestra.

The chair was designed in 1952 and is called the "SE 66 multipurpose chair". It was manufactured by Wilde+Spieth and has a springy backrest and organically shaped seat and backrest surfaces made of laminated wood. This model was only produced for a short time. The manufacturer is indicated on a sticker. There are not many of these on the market.

This is a very rare chair with a spring backrest and metal swing arm. The back is height-adjustable and the frame is made of tubular metal.
